Why Forward?

Why launch Forward?  Well, that’s an easy question.  We began to pray about planting a church in 2006.  At the time we didn’t know when, where or how that would ever happen.  After much prayer, God begin to lead us to the Foley/Gulf Shores area of Alabama to start Forward Church.  There is a big need for a life-giving church in the Foley and Gulf Shores area.  There are more than 40,000 people in the Foley microplex, and yet less than 6,000 of them attend church.  The Foley/Gulf Shores area is one of the fastest growing areas in America.  It has doubled twice in the last twenty years.  This is one of the reasons the city of Foley is called “The Forward City.”  It is on the move, flying straight ahead, helping this thriving community focus on what’s ahead.  For this reason the area needs a life-giving church that will help people focus on the incredible future that God has for them and launch forward into it with everything within them. We believe that Forward Church will echo that same focus and momentum that this area is accustomed to.  The purpose of Forward Church is to bring people one step closer to God in every area of their life.   God has an incredible future for every person, and we believe that we can help them get a glimpse of that purpose and start taking the steps that will launch them forward into all the good things God has for them.

We are asking you to help us launch Forward in 2012.  There are 3 ways you can help.

First and most importantly, you can pray for us.  We are asking people to pray for our family, our team, Forward Church and all the lives that will be changed in the years to come.  To see a list of our prayer needs, please click on Our Prayer.

Second, we are asking people to come and join the Forward Launch Team.  God has brought us an amazing team already, but we need a lot of key players on this team in order to make a big impact.  Whether you are in the area or in another state, if you want to help plant an incredible, life-giving church, then please pray about joining the Forward Launch Team.  If you would like to be a part of the Forward Launch Team, please contact us for more information or attend our next Interest Meeting.

Third, we need financial support to buy equipment for different areas of the church and to remodel a building that was given to us to use for our offices, small groups, band practices and youth meetings.
